So, What about Indoor Air Quality?
You or someone in your family or perhaps you or a co-worker or employee are suffering from allergies.
This is very common today whether at home or at the office. How do you identify the cause of the allergic reaction that today over 60% of people suffer from?
Treating just your symptoms will be a losing proposition in the long run and identifying the source is the best way to mitigate the problem.
From mold to pet dander or hair, air quality testing is the preferred method of determining the environmental sources of contaminants.
How do we test indoor air quality?
Testing indoor air quality requires a thorough visual inspection of the building and a comprehensive questionnaire to be completed.
Once we have the information we need then a air quality sample is taken outdoors and others are taken in areas of the structure. Indoor samples are taken in locations that are concentrated living or work areas such as offices, employee lounges, living room, bedrooms and in some cases bathrooms.
Once samples have been collected they are sent to a lab for proper analysis.
A report is generated by the lab that indicates the types of contaminates found in the subject environment. The report also contains the information on what contaminates are found in the air outside to establish a current norm. By comparing the two samples natural levels are established and deviations of the norm can be identified. Not all deviations will be the cause for an allergic reaction or illness. Many agents are benign and will have no impact to people because we have natural tolerance to them.
Because everyone is different it is advisable to take the final report to an allergist so he can use them to assist in determining your specific reaction to identified contaminants found in your home or office.
Arch Infrared has trained and certified technicians that will perform all phases of the process and we use EMSL Labs for all of our analysis.
